Mark Jackson is a long-time musician, singer and educator. Known for his artistic integrity and boundless creativity, Mark has a wealth of experience in the performance, production, conducting and teaching voice lessons. He has logged well over 3000 career live performances in the theater and music worlds, hundreds of recording sessions and television appearances, and dozens of concerts conducted with children and adults. Mark earned a Masters of Jazz Voice Performance from Western Michigan University.
Performance highlights include 4 years as Tom Collins in the Broadway, West End, and National Touring companies of Rent, It Ain’t Nothin But the Blues at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles, national jingles for Nickelodeon, MTV, and AT&T, live performances with Idena Menzel, Pat Metheny, Wayne Brady, Nikki Harris, Andre Simone, and TC Carson, and television appearances on the Oprah Winfrey, Today, Regis and Kelly, and the Jerry Lewis Telethon shows. In addition, Mark has performed in the chorus of Opera Grand Rapids productions of La Traviata, Romeo and Juliette, The Barber of Seville, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Tosca, and Carmen.
